Epikote™
Epikote™ epoxy resins are the most important products sold in the epoxy resin market, and one of the foundations of Momentive Specialty Chemicals. The basis of the product line is Epikote™ Resin 828 which is a liquid resin also described as diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A. This key resin is complemented in the range by Epikote™ Resin 862, the diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol F, and a full series of modified liquid epoxy resins, epoxy resin blends and purified epoxy resins. The Epikote™ epoxy product range also includes solid epoxy resins of varying molecular weight and melting point and solutions thereof. These solid epoxy resins are higher molecular weight epoxies that are produced by advancement
reaction from Bisphenol A.

Waterborne Curing Agents
EPIKURE™ Waterborne Curing Agents are key products to achieve high performance levels of novel Waterborne systems. Momentive has a continued research effort in the field and offers a range of EPIKURE Waterborne Curing Agents in evolution and in support of the development of new WB technologies. Consider the development of a next generation of metal primers for the transportation industry and the development of flooring systems with superior resistance to osmotic blisters.

Application
EPIKURE Waterborne Curing Agents are used in combination with EPI-REZ Waterborne resins or in some cases directly with liquid epoxy resins. These combinations can generally be diluted to a desired solids level simply with water addition. Due to their high degree of compatibility with many components, EPI-REZ waterborne resins and / or curing agents can also be formulated in many ways with wetting agents, additives, cosolvents and coupling agents.
EPIKURE Waterborne Curing Agents can be used in most traditional applications such as in flooring, adhesives, anticorrosive primers and textile binders to reduce or eliminate Volatile Organic Compounds without sacrificing performance or to offer superior adhesion or osmotic blisters resistance.
